Next week we will start researching the history of the Olympic Games. Find out five interesting facts about either the modern or ancient games (or both) that you can bring to class and share by wednesday please. We will have a display of the information you’ve discovered.
Spellings: You have been given a sheet of spellings which show you how to change tenses and how to change verbs to nouns or nouns to verbs. Please choose a column to learn – remember to challenge yourself ! Have a go at two columns and earn some marbles for the marble jar (I was looking today, it’s nearly full!) This website might help you to practice. You have to type in your spellings onto the current word bank and press GO! It’s good fun!

Street party celebrations
On Thursday, I woke up early , and changed into my 1950s dress.Iwas very excited because it was the street party .
At school everyone looked great in their 1950s costumes. It was like we had gone back sixty years to celebrate the Queen’s Corination,
We had a very special assembly too, and everyone recieved a gold coin , one side of the gold coin had a picture of the Queens head ,just like you would find on a normal coin, and the other side had a logo for the Diamond Jubilee on it.
After lunch, we started to set up all of the tables for the street party; it was disastourous! It was so windy that all the plates kept blowing away and we had to sellotape everything down.
At five to two everyone was seated and ready. OUr street party had begun.
