Cadbury’s World
On Wednesday last week (27th Feb), Year five went to Cadburys World in Birmingham. We had SO MUCH FUN! Our day started off with a “short” coach ride heading north to Birmingham. After a long trip we eventually arrived at Cadburys World, it was Huge! We got off the coach and advanced into Cadbury’s World. First of all was the exhibit, where we went back in time to an Aztec Rainforest (where cacoa originated.) After the rainforest, we went forwads to Victorian Britan, where we learnt through a series of mini theaters and videos how Cadburys was founded and how Chocolate was made. Then we had a sneek peek at the packaging plant, it was very interesting to see the enormous machinery. We saw all the places where your Dairy milk is packaged, but sadly most of the machienery was not operational, due to it requireing cleaning after a nut bar had been processed. Afterwards we went on the Cadabra! ride , where we went round a little track ride in small cars, there was a very, very freaky parrot who took your photograph. We had lunch outside, a small (but interesting talk) titled “Bean to Bar” when finally we went into Essence. This was what everyone had been looking forward to. We watched a hilairious projected message, then watched another that showed how Cadbury Dairy milk was created. After the videos, we endeed up in a small, clean white room with a big silver pipe hanging over a silver counter. It dispened melted chocolate. We all enjoyed a pot of melted chocolate with a topping of our choice! Finally we went to the shop and finished up with a coach ride back to school, where we were given our free sampels of chocolate!
We really enjoyed our trip to Cadbury’s World, will we ever have a trip like that again?

Welcome to Year 5
Hello Year 5! This week we’re going to start looking at the blog on a regular basis and start blogging. We’ve done so much already that we can talk about.
Greek Pots
You’ll all be pleased to hear that I’ve got the terracotta pots so we can start decorating them on Tuesday. Don’t forget that we’ve got the Blake’s Got Talent auditions on Monday afternoon and the actual show is on Thursday afternoon… it’s going to be a busy week (and let’s hope a dry one too). Have a good weekend… 
Planting the Basil seeds
6th of July, the butterfies say hi!
Today we have been doing Olympic art for our display in the classroom, first we drew around our hands on blue, black, red, yellow and green card. We then put our name on it and cut them out, after that we each got a letter and wrote it onto the hand with a metalic colour.
Also , we have been studying our own butterflys,and some of them have hatched out of their chrysalis’ . We have been making scientific observations about our butterflys and drawing scientific pictures of our butterflys. One of the butterflies has three wings, and there is red dust on the netting because of the butterflys dust. This afternoon at the end of the day, the whole class is going to receive their individual reports, we’ll have to find out at the end of the day who our new teacher is
